The motion passed with Howington, Sanders and Mayor Charles Morehead voting yes; Alderman Michael Paszek abstained, citing a conflict of interest. The minutes record that the board approved the staking and appraisal while Paszek abstained.
The board did not provide a timetable for acquisition or a final purchase price; Sullivan said he is still working on getting the appraisal. Next steps identified by the board include completing the appraisal and returning the item for further action once valuation and boundary details are available.
