The Ottawa City Council on Jan. 6 adopted a contract to purchase real estate from Dayton Ridge Golf Club LLC, received an architectural agreement with BCA Architects Ltd. for waterfront amphitheater renderings, and authorized filing an engagement letter with TEC Services Consulting Inc. to assist with a STAR bond application.
Mayor Hasty moved to adopt the real-estate purchase contract with Dayton Ridge Golf Club LLC; the council voted unanimously to adopt the resolution. The mayor also presented a resolution to receive and place on file an architectural agreement with BCA Architects Ltd. and said the agreement "is for new renderings for the waterfront." The council approved that filing for public inspection.
Mayor Hasty then presented an engagement letter with TEC Services Consulting Inc. to assist the city in preparing a STAR bond application and noted that "if we cannot meet the criteria for the STAR bond, this agreement would be terminated without any additional costs." The council voted to receive and place the engagement letter on file.
Next steps: the purchase contract was adopted at the meeting; the architectural agreement and STAR bond engagement letter were filed for public inspection. Further design, financing and public hearings will be required before redevelopment work begins.
