A city staff member explained that "the last bill for the fiscal year... there was a $184,000 and some valves that were purchased that were part of the last fiscal year, and they got the invoice at the 11th hour," and that about $60,000 in professional services affected the Kemper account.
Council conducted roll call and recorded affirmative votes from present members, advancing the ordinance as read for second reading/title only and noting the appropriation amounts.
Council did not expand on additional budget amendments at the meeting; staff said the large waterworks invoice was a timing issue related to prior purchases and invoices.
