The Town of Pegram Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted 3–0 on Aug. 25 to authorize the mayor to sign a sewer contract with EcoStruct, pending review and clearance by the town attorney.
Alderman Miranda Montgomery moved to authorize the contract; Vice Mayor Bob Sanders seconded the motion. Mayor Charles Morehead and the two present aldermen voted in favor; Randy Howington and Michael Paszek were recorded as absent. Town Engineer Luke Sullivan told the board staff is working to obtain all signatures for the sewer documents and that the appraisal should be complete in a couple of weeks. The contract has been provided to the town attorney for review.
The vote followed an earlier amendment to the agenda that allowed the board to consider the sewer contract at this meeting. The board approved that agenda amendment by the same 3–0 margin.
The authorization directs the mayor to sign the EcoStruct contract only after the town attorney confirms there are no outstanding legal issues. The minutes do not specify contract value, schedule, or funding sources.
The board took no further public comment on the sewer item. The engineer’s update indicates follow-up steps include completing the appraisal and securing the remaining signatures before final execution.
