Residents press board for details after proposed subdivision affecting baseball field

Another resident asked why the district would transfer property that has substantial value rather than sell it if the district needed funds.
A board member responded that agenda item 3b, as presented to the board, was limited to approving a subdivision to identify and negotiate the property boundary with the borough; it was not an authorization to sell the land or to permit non-outdoor uses. The board member said the desire is to keep the site as a baseball and softball field and to discuss upgrades that would preserve outdoor recreation use.
Board staff also told commenters that further details (including any negotiated terms or funding outcomes) would be developed in talks with the borough and would come back to the board for any required approvals. No definitive conveyance or transfer of ownership was announced at the meeting.
