The Winneconne Community School District Board of Education approved a set of consent items, amended and approved prior meeting minutes, and authorized extended summer contracts at its May 4 meeting.
The chair removed two April 20 minutes items from automatic approval for attention related to new board members and then the board moved to approve consent items c through k by motion and roll call. A board member raised a question about ensuring final subcontractor lien waivers accompany payouts; administration responded that the district uses a sign‑off checklist and that Mr. Samulinski would provide outstanding lien waivers when available.
The board approved the April 20, 2026 regular meeting minutes with an amendment clarifying that a high school civil engineering and architecture independent study presentation was a school project and did not reflect the position of the board. The board also approved executive session minutes from April 20.
Administration described extended summer contracts as additional hours for staff to prepare for the upcoming school year and support students; the total cost was stated as "basically the same amount as we spent last year for a total of $19,210." After a motion and second the board approved the extended summer contracts on roll call.
The meeting concluded with routine administrative reports, recognitions and adjournment.
