The Elmwood Park CUSD 401 Board of Education unanimously approved a series of contracts and technology purchases during an open meeting that ran from 7:11 to 7:29 p.m.
The board approved a custodial and maintenance association agreement covering the 2026–2030 school years after members described the negotiations as respectful and productive. A motion and a second were made and the board voted in favor.
The board also approved the following procurement items as presented: - A Raptor Technology subscription and service agreement for $33,070. - A purchase of GoGuardian from M and J Technologies Direct Inc. for $67,700.58. - Purchase of the PowerSchool student information platform for $63,685.36. - A special-education transportation services agreement with 1st Students Inc., effective 07/01/2026 through 06/30/2031.
During the transportation discussion a board member asked whether the provider listed previously was the same as an alternate name mentioned in prior materials; the presenter confirmed the names referred to the same provider. No votes failed; each item carried with the members present voting yes.
Committee member commented that negotiations on the custodial agreement were “great negotiations back and forth, respectful, and productive.” The meeting did not record any amendments to the contracts on the floor. The board approved the entire consent agenda later in the meeting and adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
