The administration recommended approval of the successor contract, covering the period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2032, and asked the board to authorize board officers and the superintendent to execute the agreement on the district's behalf. The motion was approved by roll call, 8–0.
Presenter remarks at the meeting described the negotiation process as professional, respectful and collaborative, saying it produced an agreement that is "fair and beneficial for everyone involved" and will allow the district to move forward together with a focus on students and staff. The administration noted the agreement terms are included in the board packet and that execution is subject to the usual administrative and solicitor review where noted in the packet.
