Teachers' union urges board to prioritize candidates with local experience in superintendent search

The remarks were framed as public comment and advisory to the board; no formal motion or binding directive on hiring was made during the meeting.
The board noted the superintendent interview as part of the special meeting agenda and thanked acting superintendent Dr. Ahmed Medley and staff for their work; no hiring decision was recorded in the public transcript on June 16.
