Administrator reports partial server purchase; board shares community event updates
Summary

District administrator Mr. Jarabeck told the board the district was able to acquire the storage component of a planned server upgrade but that the vendor currently cannot supply the remaining parts.
“...we have been able to buy the storage part of the server project,” Mr. Jarabeck said, adding the district is planning contingencies and using spare parts to keep operations running while monitoring the market for availability.
He said buying the remainder now would cost roughly $50,000 more and that administrators judged that additional expense was not a prudent use of district resources at this time. Board members confirmed the secured portion fits within the dollar range presented to the board.
In board communications, a member thanked donors to the New Berlin education fund given in a teacher’s name, congratulated the girls basketball team on advancing to a tournament in Waupaca, and noted successful FFA fundraising events that drew several hundred community members.
After routine committee scheduling and a brief policy-logistics question about when to address items for an absent member, the board adjourned.
