Henry Francis identified himself as a college student and said he plans to vote in 2026 but that he currently could not, in good faith, support the bond because he saw no clear plan to extend STEM investments beyond elementary-level eye centers into middle and high school, including CTE or robotics facilities. He encouraged the board to consider larger, long-term STEM facilities and cited neighboring districts that recently invested in dedicated STEM centers.
Board leaders thanked both speakers; staff later presented instructional investments and plans for scaling STEM-related work, but did not present a detailed middle/high STEM facility plan during the meeting.
