DPW reviews asset logs, recent Well 1 generator work and requests for Village Hall backup

Lederer reported recent maintenance work on the Well 1 generator. Member Blaine Werner asked that a generator be installed at Village Hall; Lederer said he preferred a generator at the DPW shop so staff could power overhead doors and access emergency equipment if the power goes out. Member Chuck Mueller asked why the village could not buy a generator at a retail store; Lederer said the concern is the transfer switch and that he has talked to an electrician, and he will continue to investigate options.
The committee recorded no motion or vote on purchasing or installing new generators at the March 4 meeting; Leiter said he will continue investigating compatibility and transfer-switch requirements and report back.
