Random Lake trustees approve chamber membership, operator licenses and consent agenda

At its Feb. 16 meeting the Random Lake Village Board approved a package of routine business: membership in the Random Lake Chamber of Commerce, two operator licenses, raffle pass donations from Between the Lakes Muskies Inc., and the consent agenda including the January sheriff's report and recent checks.
President Duane Urbanski and Beautification Committee members said Chamber membership will support ongoing wayfinding, parking and beautification efforts; Trustee Blaine Werner moved to approve membership and the motion carried 6–0. Between the Lakes Chapter requested two season boat-launch passes for raffle; Trustee Jamie Vorpahl moved to approve the request and the motion carried 5–0 with President Urbanski abstaining. Trustee Rachel Fuller moved to approve operator licenses for Dipendra KC and Nabin Rokaya; the motion carried 6–0. Trustee Fuller also moved to approve consent-agenda items 1–6 and the motion carried 6–0; the board later approved the newsletter insert option 3 by unanimous vote.
Staff reports covered Village Hall business and election preparations, public works projects including LED light conversion at the DPW shop, equipment maintenance, well cleaning and a March 1 speed limit sign change. Clerk/Treasurer Stephanie Waala said auditors will be on site the following week. In public comment Sheboygan County Representative Bill Goehring announced the UW-Extension will hire a new county planning agent.
