Duane Urbanski told the committee the village wants to avoid dead-end water and sewer lines; existing mains on Orth Drive terminate at opposite edges of the subject property. To complete the loop, the village said the owner should install additional main segments across the parcel and the laterals to the homes.
Engineer Mustafa Emir proposed a partial water-line extension of roughly 500 feet from the east; he said Krauska could install that line to reduce upfront costs and then hand the infrastructure over to the village. For sewer service Emir described two options: install a grinder pump and pump sewage eastward, or install a longer gravity line to feed west. The property owner said he would consult contractors and return with a secondary proposal for committee review.
No formal approval or motion was recorded on March 4; the committee asked the owner to return with revised plans that address the village's preference to avoid dead-end mains.
