Random Lake board approves ordinance to attach territory for WWTP property purchase

The Random Lake Village Board unanimously approved Ordinance 2026-06 on Feb. 16, authorizing attachment of territory under the village's intergovernmental boundary agreement with the Town of Sherman as a procedural step in acquiring property for the wastewater treatment plant.
President Duane Urbanski described the ordinance as the next step in the purchase process for the WWTP property. Trustee Dave Borchardt moved to approve Ordinance 2026-06; Trustee Barbara Ruege seconded, and the motion carried 6–0.
Clerk/Treasurer Stephanie Waala noted the purchase of the WWTP property is scheduled for Feb. 27 and auditors will be on site the following week. The board did not record any abstentions or amendments to the ordinance at the meeting.
