Educational programming committee recommends Edgems math resource for Meselovsky Middle School; full board vote expected next meeting

The RSU 18 educational programming committee reported Thursday that Meselovsky Middle School recommended adopting the Edgems digital math resource for use beginning next school year.

A committee presenter described the resource as a non‑consumable, teacher‑led supplemental program that provides online materials, printable resources and student access through Google Classroom. Committee members said teachers have piloted the resource this year and found it beneficial; the committee expects to put a formal adoption vote on the board agenda at the next meeting to grant schools permission to implement the program.

The committee also provided an update on year two of the district’s three‑year school improvement cycle, reporting progress across six focus areas selected by staff, including a school culture initiative and an in‑school suspension pilot designed to reduce academic disruption when students are suspended.
