Commission supports concept for one-lot farm division with conditions

Don Strickler said the family’s intent is to provide a place for their son Matt and his wife to build a home and described prior cooperative arrangements. Staff noted similar prior approvals in 2019 and asked for an updated remnant-parcel plan showing how the remaining land would be organized and for a road reservation to protect orderly future development.
Commissioners and staff asked the applicants to provide a joint-driveway easement document, obtain fire-department review of access and address any changes to the remnant parcel plan. Staff said these updates are typical practice for single-lot divisions to ensure future development remains orderly.
No formal action was taken; the commission requested the updated remnant-parcel plan and legal review of any easement agreements before bringing the matter forward for final consideration.
