Director reports three National Register nominations and one proposed delisting for State review

Sean de Corsi, director of conservation, summarized items scheduled for the State Historic Resources Commission meeting on Aug. 7, 2026. He said the staff has three National Register nominations and one proposed removal scheduled for state review: Grand Union High School (neocolonial Spanish, built 1934'1940), a Thompson Leeds/Thompson Dicks Company warehouse (industrial/commercial candidate seeking federal rehabilitation tax credits), the El Dorado property the Commission considered during the hearing, and a proposed change that would reclassify a contributing resource in the Central Al Qali Flat historic district.
De Corsi said the Commission does not meet in July and staff is coordinating with the State and the Office of Conservation of Heritage to ensure the Commission has an opportunity to comment; staff may ask to postpone the proposed delisting to allow adequate local review. He closed by offering to keep the Commission informed as schedules or recommendations change.
