Colebrook selectboard approves minutes, signs deed release and sets meeting schedule

Colebrook — The Colebrook Select Board on Feb. 9 approved minutes from its Jan. 26 meeting, completed routine fiscal signings and approved several administrative items including a deed release and two intents to cut.
The board voted unanimously to approve the minutes of Jan. 26, 2026, with a motion from Selectboard member Sue Collins and a second from Ray Gorman. Members also reviewed and signed payroll and disbursement manifests.
Town Manager Tim Stevens presented a Release Deed signed by the son of property owner Margaret Crawford, and the board signed the deed releasing the property to Myron J. Strickland; Administrative Assistant Melanie Fogg notarized the document. The board approved two Intent to Cut forestry notifications for Bruce Lyons and James Lee and administered the oath of office to Jessica Lopes as Deputy Town Clerk.
Other business included routine follow‑up on older agenda items that remain pending (Reservoir Road, Aldrich Road, water wells, UV building claims) and discussion of unpaid invoices to contractors identified as Badger and Stiles. Selectboard members set several upcoming meeting dates: the selectmen will meet March 3 and 9 and March 23; Town Meeting is scheduled for March 10 at 7:00 p.m.; a Water & Sewer rates public hearing will be held April 1 at 6:00 p.m.; and a selectmen’s meeting is scheduled for April 27.
The board adjourned at 4:10 p.m. after a motion by Collins and a second by Gorman.
