Chris Winkler, Daviess County highway supervisor, presented an LPA voucher for a roundabout at Old U.S. 50 that the minutes show is 90% reimbursable; the reimbursable portion cited in the minutes is $28,279.95. Winkler also presented an 80%‑reimbursable voucher for repairs to the bridge over Cobert Ditch on Old U.S. 50 with a reimbursable portion of $4,392.57; both vouchers were approved.
On bridge repair procurement, Winkler said the highway department planned to accept the CLR bid as the lowest; commissioners tentatively approved accepting the lowest CLR bid, with final award contingent on documentation review. Commissioners also opened asphalt‑in‑place bids and recorded two offers: Milestone at $1,476,887.64 and Calcar Paving at $1,479,486.87. The board tentatively accepted the low bid (Milestone) to move the procurement forward pending further review and finalization.
The approvals and tentative bid acceptances move several county road projects into the next procurement and implementation stages; the minutes show no contested votes on these items.
