The Village of Greendale Plan Commission voted to recommend approval of a proposed enclosed chicken run, saying the structure would keep animals outdoors while preventing predators and wild birds from entering.
The applicant (Speaker 1) described the run as fully enclosed with hardware cloth on the sides and a covered top so the chickens would have access to natural ground while remaining secure. After a brief exchange, a motion to approve was made and seconded and commissioners voted in favor. Staff (Speaker 6) said the commission's recommendation will appear on the Village Board agenda on the 21st.
The commission took no additional conditions during its approval and moved on to the next agenda item.
