New North Brewing cleared for North Fargo location; owner outlines plans

The Fargo Liquor Control Board voted to approve a Class Y brewery license for BCKM Enterprises doing business as North Brewing, which plans a small on-site brewery at 3105 North Broadway near Trollwood Village.
Applicant Sam Core introduced himself to the board and described the business as a small neighborhood brewery intended to bring the community together. "We will be having... cans and growlers for sale out the door," Core said, adding the brewery will not offer guest taps and that all sales will be of beer produced on-site.
Board members asked whether the operation would offer off-sale growlers and were told the brewery plans to fill growlers on-site and seal them for take-away. Angie, the city staff member handling applications, confirmed background checks for the four owners were completed with no issues.
Core said the target opening is late July to early August, though he had not set a firm date. After brief discussion, a board member moved to approve the Class Y license and the board voted to grant it by voice vote.
The approval allows North Brewing to proceed with permitting and inspections required before opening.
