Angie, a city staff member handling liquor applications, told the board that the ABH license is for hotels and that background checks on the owner-manager were completed with no issues. "There are no issues with the background," Angie said, and added that the new owner is local and has more than 30 years of industry experience.
Board members asked whether the change affected how the business will operate; Angie and the chair confirmed the transfer is strictly an ownership change and the license type and operations will remain the same. Following a motion and second, the board approved the transfer by voice vote.
The action clears the way for Brant Hospitality Group to assume ownership of the license; staff will complete any final administrative steps required by ordinance before updating records.
