Marionville approves $15,000 traffic-engineering grant ordinance requiring 20% local match

The Marionville Board of Aldermen voted to adopt Bill No. 01-2026 (Ordinance 2026-01) authorizing Marionville’s public works manager to execute a contract with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission for 2026 Traffic Engineering Assistance Program funds.
Nathan Adams of Trekk told the council the grant is for $15,000 and requires an 80/20 split, with the city responsible for the 20% local match. Adams said his office will provide a base map to the council after the ordinance is signed and that a future public hearing and engagement process will be required before final design or implementation.
Alderman Urschel moved to approve the ordinance; the motion passed on roll-call vote. The ordinance was read three times as required by the agenda item and the council recorded an affirmative vote to accept the grant and authorize the contract execution.
Next steps: Trekk will return with base maps and the city will schedule required public engagement before project work proceeds.
