After discussion about whether to split the small amount or redirect it to a Decatur-based nonprofit, Committee member (Speaker 2) made a motion "that we give the opioid fund money to Project Connect this year," which Committee member (Speaker 1) seconded. The chair called for a voice vote and members approved the donation.
The donation is an administrative allocation of a small, unrestricted local opioid-settlement distribution and does not create a recurring funding commitment. The council did not specify further conditions on the grant.
