Councilman Chris Bower and Councilman Bruce Turner participated in deliberations about pricing and the timing of a five‑year trash pickup contract with Rural Services. Town Attorney Janet Murrell advised the council that no public hearing was required for the disposition.
Vice Mayor Chris Bond moved to authorize the auction with the $90,000 reserve; Councilman Bower seconded the motion, and the roll call vote was unanimous among present members.
