Commissioners said initial damage reports identified Tyrone and Snyder Township, with Altoona assessments ongoing and damage thresholds being collected to determine eligibility for further relief. The board voted to adopt a declaration of disaster for the July 5–6 flooding to allow affected communities to pursue disaster-relief eligibility.
Separately, the board approved a resolution authorizing temporary and permanent easements to permit reconstruction of County Road 104. Commissioners said they secured signed consents from four property owners and authorized payments of $50 per property owner (the total amount cited in discussion was approximately $157.50). The resolution passed by roll call.
The board said staff will continue damage assessments and coordinate with affected municipalities and state agencies to pursue applicable relief programs.
