Liberty swears in new council; members outline local priorities

Harold Wilson, sworn for Ward 2, said he would "listen, serve, and act." An at-large member, John David Humphrey, thanked voters for strong turnout and urged residents to participate on boards and commissions.
Members used their remarks to flag early priorities: improving recreation programs, supporting local businesses and creating clearer channels for residents to bring issues forward. The moderator moved the council from ceremonial items into a work session to discuss near-term operational improvements and ordinance updates.
