The minutes note the policy had previously been edited in December 2024 following emergency storm cleanup contracting with Buchanan & Sons, Inc. Council did not attach a separate funding appropriation to this policy vote; the policy update aligns the village's procurement rules with current federal thresholds for simplified acquisitions and clarifies the village's threshold for applicable procurements.
