Flat Rock council orders advertisement of unpaid 2025 property tax liens

Tax Collector Carol Richard submitted the report and recommended advertising the unpaid liens once before the end of the fiscal year, consistent with N.C. Gen. Stat. §105-369. Council concurred and a formal order directing the Tax Collector to advertise the liens was adopted by the council at the meeting.
The advertisement is to be published once between March 1 and June 30, in a newspaper of general circulation, per statutory guidance. Council did not vote on individual property details during the meeting; the Tax Collector is responsible for preparing the advertisement and filing the required notices.
