Tri-County Electric representatives met with Adair County commissioners on June 10 to introduce new General Manager Cole Tippett and to update the commission on transmission-line work west from Zachary Station. Skylar Wiegmann said Tri-County and Ameren have agreements with all but eight landowners and that 30-day notices were being sent; construction is expected to begin in 2027.
On June 30 Ameren representatives met with the commission to discuss planned county road crossing locations, haul routes and road-use agreements for transmission projects from Zachary Station to Locust Creek, Maywood and Thomas Hill. The companies discussed potential impacts to county roads and the need for road-use agreements to address haul-route damage and crossings.
Commissioners did not record any votes on the transmission projects in the minutes; the session served as an informational briefing and coordination opportunity with utility companies.
