Development updates noted active construction at the former Burger King site, an issued permit at the PNC Bank property and planning commission approval for a project at the former Pizza Hut site. Staff said the North Main pilot project will be taken down this week while an online and paper survey remains open for residents and businesses to comment.
Clawson Chamber liaison Alec reported on upcoming events: a Chamber golf outing on July 27 and a joint DDA–Chamber parade float for the Fourth of July, asking for volunteers for the float‑building day and parade walkers. He said the Chamber plans to use a dynamic QR code on handouts linking to the city events page.
Board members thanked volunteers and noted the DDA received a "Spirit of Main Street" award; staff said the $2,000 prize was deposited into the DDA fund.
