Councilors asked for backup information on reserves and project scope; one councilor said they could not support the vote without additional documents. The majority voted to approve the design contract, with the rink estimating a subsequent total project cost of about $170,000 for replacement (exclusive of design).
Next steps: design documents will be completed so the rink can solicit bids for replacement equipment and installation; the enterprise fund will be used for both design and construction as budgeted.
