On Aug. 12, 2025 the Village of Warrens Board of Trustees voted unanimously to authorize street closures and use of village right-of-way for the 2025 Cranberry Festival and appointed Michael Clark to the Village Board of Zoning Appeals.
The resolution permitting the Cranberry Festival (Resolution Cranberry Festival-2025-01) passed on a 7-0 vote after a motion by Trustee T. Swope and a second from Trustee J. Le Mere. The Board also approved the appointment of Michael Clark to the Board of Zoning Appeals by the same 7-0 margin; the clerk will administer the oath if he is present to be sworn in.
The Board handled a slate of liquor-licensing matters. Andrew Wholesale, with agent Christopher Andrew, was approved for a Class A Beer and Class A Liquor license effective Sept. 1, 2025 (motion by A. Werner; second by P. Malinger; 7-0). A prior tabled item involving Morrie’s Retreat LLC (agent Nathan Delmore) appeared on the agenda with a recorded vote total of 6-0-1 on the minutes. The Board also considered temporary Class B approvals for the Warrens Lions Club (agent Nodji Van Wychen); an initial approval was later rescinded because required documentation from the agent was missing and the matter will return to the next Board meeting.
The Board approved a set of operator license renewals for local establishments, recording that applicants provided required documentation and, where applicable, completed Responsible Beverage Server training.
The Board’s business calendar shows the next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025.
