At its April 13 meeting the Maysville Board of Aldermen approved several routine administrative actions and scheduled budget work.
Alderman Clint Sollars moved and Alderman Amy Justus seconded acceptance of a three-year audit contract with Hood & Associates; minutes record the motion carried. Earlier in the meeting the board approved pouring concrete around a manhole on Grant Street to keep it connected; Alderman Darrell Conley moved and Alderman Clint Sollars seconded that motion, which the minutes record as carried.
During closed session the board considered personnel matters by roll-call vote; the minutes show unanimous yes votes by Aldermen Sollars, Justus, Conley and Zieber. After returning to open session, Alderman Sollars moved to have City Clerk Pat Fisher-Johnson fill in as a temporary code enforcer until a new budget is complete. The minutes do not specify a second or record a vote for that motion.
The board also set budget meetings for May 14 and May 28 and scheduled the next regular meeting for May 11, 2026. The minutes record no contract numbers, bid amounts for the audit contract beyond the acceptance, or further details about the clerk’s code-enforcement duties; follow-up is recorded as part of the upcoming budget process.
