West Bend keeps 2026–27 assessment calendar unchanged, plans board consent posting

Tina VanRoo, the district data and assessment coordinator, told the committee that the 2026–27 assessment calendar is unchanged from the previous year and that the district will continue using STAR for K–8 literacy and math screening, preACT in grades 9 and 10, AIMSweb Plus for early reading risk screens, and all state assessments in winter and spring.
"The assessment calendar is unchanged from last year," VanRoo said. She recommended the committee move the calendar to the board consent agenda so it can be posted in handbooks and on the website.
Committee members asked procedural questions about building assignments and whether assessments remain tied to student grade rather than building; VanRoo confirmed that assessments follow grade levels regardless of building configuration. She also noted the district will receive accountability report cards in November that will reflect recent building reconfiguration in subsequent years.
