A staff representative told the council that park-related projects can qualify in some jurisdictions, particularly where ADA access or park-and-ride features are involved; the council asked staff to confirm eligibility and adjust the submission if needed.
A public commenter and several council members urged prioritizing West Marlette for safety and long-term cost savings. The council approved the SB1 project list on a motion and planned to refine the list with adjusted language to ensure eligibility for the Howard Park ADA items if possible.
