The board then approved claims by motion (moved by Shawn Maine, seconded by Chris Ball) in the amount of $222,485.68. The minutes note that “board members voting ‘AYE’ unless otherwise noted.”
Payroll items reviewed included: Nicholas Davis, Deputy, pay increased to $33.01 per hour, effective Aug. 4, 2024; Kristen Sherman, Dispatcher, to $20.85 per hour, effective Aug. 7, 2024; Mitchell Griffin, Deputy, new hire at $35.09 per hour, effective Aug. 5, 2024; and Gunnar Hoffer, Deputy, to $34.84 per hour, effective Sept. 1, 2024.
The clerk’s minutes include an itemized list of the claims examined and approved that day, with larger line items recorded such as RNS Data Processing ($27,206.64), Schneider (GIS maintenance, $40,164.00), and Grout Scouts (culvert repairs, $19,262.50). The board approved a Sheriff’s office request from Brandon Marquardt to use the courthouse grounds for a Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 27, 2024.
Supervisor Shawn Maine reported attending a Public Health meeting and meeting with Red Lion and Morford Construction regarding the county solar project; he also said the propane tank at the Complex has been blasted and needs inspection before painting. Chairman Brad Quigley said he had received calls about roads and questions on the solar project and had requested bids for LP fuel; Supervisor Chris Ball reported no meetings to summarize.
There being no further business, the board adjourned at 9:40 a.m.
