Louisa County supervisors approve routine business, table Modified Job Agreement after staff review

The Louisa County Board of Supervisors approved routine business and heard staff and public updates during its Aug. 27 meeting.
Supervisor Chris Ball moved and Supervisor Shawn Maine seconded approval of the meeting agenda and the Aug. 20, 2024 minutes. Supervisors also reported on recent meetings: Shawn Maine discussed power at the jail with Red Lion and his meetings related to Emergency Medical Services Fund expenses and Conservation land; Ball said he had forwarded a citizen letter about upkeep of the Toolesboro Indian Mounds to Conservation; Chair Brad Quigley said the Transfer Station sought to purchase a Mac trailer and that he is consulting an attorney about financing.
During public input, resident Randy Foor asked how Conservation land would be sold; Supervisor Shawn Maine said he would look into the process, and Chair Quigley provided Foor a copy of the monthly income statement upon request.
Adam Shutt delivered his weekly update and presented a payroll change: Casey Ball, Heavy Road Operator, was moved to $28.35 per hour, effective Sept. 8, 2024. Brian Hall (Emergency Management / Safety Director) gave his monthly update and discussed a Modified Job Agreement; the board voted to table the item and requested a department meeting with Paul Greufe before bringing the agreement back for board consideration.
