Louisa County to seek bids for jail roof; board accepts quote to clean county propane tank

County Engineer Adam Shutt provided weekly updates and the board accepted a separate quote from Xtreme Pro-Wash to power-wash and clean the propane tank at the County Complex; Supervisor Shawn Maine moved to accept the quote and Chairman Brad Quigley seconded the motion. The minutes record that the cleaning work will be paid from the Complex maintenance budget.
Randy Foor notified the board that Engineer Adam Shutt and Al Muhlenbruck planned to meet with the Iowa Department of Transportation at 11:00 a.m. that day to discuss a closure on K Avenue and possible reopening timelines. Curt Hartlieb provided the regular monthly update from the VA. The minutes do not record further technical details for the jail roof quote or a dollar amount for the Evolve estimate.
