The Lynn Township Board of Supervisors accepted 2025 road material bids and joint service contracts and heard a detailed road and park operations report at its April 10 meeting.
Road Master Matt Henderson told the board crews posted a NO TRUCK sign on Leaser Road, hauled concrete blocks to build an anti‑skid bin, ordered remaining salt loads under the contract, swept intersections and replaced pipes on Ross Valley and Scholler roads. He said the township plans oil‑and‑chip work and some blacktop operations in the spring, and reported maintenance work at park ponds and bench repairs.
The board accepted detailed vendor bids for stone, multiple HMA mixes and anti‑skid material (tabulated by company and tonnage) and approved the lowest highlighted stone bids. The board also accepted joint line‑painting and joint oil bids shared among neighboring municipalities.
Separately, the board approved using park funds to install an expansion tank for the maintenance building’s fuel system and to construct a roof over the fuel holding tank; the work will be carried out by the road crew. Matt Henderson said the crew will additionally check a longstanding stop‑sign issue at Sawmill & Springhouse Road and consider locations for a disc‑golf installation.
The motions to accept bids and to authorize park work carried unanimously.
