The issue was discussed after representatives from the township and area fire companies confirmed they had submitted equipment orders to the county. Fire service leaders also updated the board. New Tripoli Fire Company Safety Officer Bill McQuilken reported 68 emergency calls through April 10, 2025, and noted recent Haz‑Mat OPS refresher training and firefighter instruction completions. Lehigh Presbyterian Fire Company Chief Kevin Utt reported 24 emergency calls to date and outlined upcoming training and community events, including a joint Easter egg hunt and a community breakfast fundraiser.
