Fulton Historic Preservation Commission schedules April 15 event, sets special meeting to pick award winners

The Fulton City Historic Preservation Commission at its March 23 meeting approved minutes, reviewed outreach for an April 15 Preservation Event and set a special meeting to select award winners.

Crystal Aulbur, chair of the Fulton City Historic Preservation Commission, said she will give the welcome at the April 15 event; doors are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m. and the program to begin at 6:00 p.m. Commissioners reported that an informational letter about the event was mailed March 6 and that 26 people have RSVP'd so far. The program will include a short speaker, presentation of certificates for newly designated Fulton historic properties, an awards segment, and closing remarks from co-chair Robert Wise. The commission discussed decorations and displaying photographs of historic properties and plans to borrow several books from the Historical Society for the event.

Commissioner Warren Hollrah moved and Commissioner Robert Wise seconded approval of the minutes from the Feb. 9, 2026 meeting; the motion carried, four in favor, one absent. Later, Hollrah moved and Commissioner Carl Brauner seconded a motion to hold a special called meeting on April 6 at 3:30 p.m. to select award winners; that motion carried, four in favor, one absent. In a separate motion Hollrah, seconded by Brauner, moved to set all future commission meetings at 3:00 p.m.; the commission approved the change. The commission scheduled its next regular meeting for April 20, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.

Chair Aulbur moved to adjourn at 3:48 p.m.; the motion, seconded by Brauner, carried. The meeting minutes were submitted by Deputy Clerk Marissa Peneston.
