The Lycoming County commissioners approved a set of contracts and a property listing at their July 9 meeting.
Vicky presented an amended agreement with a mitigation specialist identified as Ms. Campbell, explaining the county will increase the contract amount from $5,000 to $10,000 and extend the contract expiration from December 2026 to December 2027 for mitigation work on capital-murder cases. The board moved, seconded and approved the amendment.
County presenters also requested and received approval for a Diversified Treatment Alternatives (DTA) contract for the prior fiscal year and a Children's House (CHOR) contract for fiscal year 26/27; the presenter noted low utilization in the referenced year and rate increases of roughly 5% to 14% depending on the vendor.
On a real-estate item, staff presented listing contracts with Giro Realty Company to sell two subdivided lots at 59 Beach Road in Montoursville (lots 1 and 2). A motion to approve the listing, subject to solicitor review, was made and approved by the commissioners.
Each contract and the listing were approved by voice vote. County staff noted solicitor review where appropriate and will proceed with contract execution and listing preparation.
Next steps: finalize amended contract documents, execute DTA and CHOR agreements, and complete solicitor review and listing paperwork with Giro Realty.
