Commissioner Jim Watzin moved to approve the May 13 regular meeting minutes; Commissioner Bryon Callahan seconded and the vote was 3–0 in favor. Commissioner Callahan moved to approve the May 13 closed session minutes; Commissioner Watzin seconded and that motion also passed 3–0.
During other updates, staff relayed a resident request from 305 Steamboat to relocate mailboxes because vehicles parked near the mailboxes impede delivery. Commissioners expressed concern that moving the boxes to the opposite shoulder would create traffic issues on the narrow road and advised residents to discuss solutions with the Post Office; commissioners suggested consolidating mailboxes in a single accessible location as an alternative.
Under new business, President Al Hardee said a gate is needed at the landing/plant entrance to prevent non‑permitted vehicles from parking overnight and said the town will contact the Sheriff’s Office about ticketing; he also noted cameras and lights had been installed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:27 p.m. after a motion by Commissioner Callahan and second by Commissioner Watzin.
