The Queenstown Commission reviewed a draft investment policy and received a copy of state law under the Brighter Tomorrow Act requiring adoption of automated solar permitting software during its March 18 special meeting.
Town Assistant Attorney Jen Dindinger said state law requires towns to adopt an investment policy and that the policy must meet standards regarding portfolio diversification; commissioners did not request changes and Dindinger said she will send a final draft.
The commission also reviewed a copy of state law on the Brighter Tomorrow Act, which requires adoption of automated solar permitting software. Commissioner Bryon Callahan asked what other towns in the county are doing to implement the requirement; Town Manager Amy Moore said she will reach out to other towns for information.
Next steps: Dindinger will circulate a final investment policy draft; Moore will contact peer towns for information about implementing the Brighter Tomorrow Act requirements.
