Town Manager Amy Moore told commissioners she had drafted a letter informing all water and sewer customers about proposed rate increases and commissioners approved sending the letter to customers.
Commissioners were briefed on finance work: the finance committee continues to develop the budget and Finance Chair Pat Bowell’s term is up in June; staff said they will verify whether Bowell wishes to continue. The town reported account balances of General Fund $97,538.64 and Water/Sewer Fund $48,048.60.
No formal rate decision was recorded at the May 27 meeting; the letter is a notice to customers of proposed changes and will inform subsequent deliberations on rates and the budget.
