IT Director Fash Farashahi described the update as a corrected design from an April 2025 proposal, citing replacement hardware that increased the project cost by $6,808. Tim Brezovec explained the change reflected a different Zoom-capable hardware model that adds roughly $1,000 but permits eliminating speaker pods.
Finance Director Lilli Gilligan told the board the PEG fund — supported by Comcast franchise fees — has a balance of $88,840 and can cover the project. Select Board member Bonnie Tucker moved to approve the upgrades and Bill Kennedy seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
What’s next: IT staff will proceed with the vendor purchase and schedule installation, and the PEG fund balance will be adjusted to reflect the approved expenditure.
