Staff reported a substantial increase in lifeguard applicants and provided operational updates for the pool during the Feb. 25 meeting.
Mason M. said he will provide the board with materials on lifeguard training for their review and noted he had received more than 20 lifeguard applicants — a substantial increase from prior years. The board also discussed the possibility of shifting pool beverage sales from a retail model to wholesale; no formal policy change was adopted at the meeting.
Board members asked staff to compile training materials and any cost or operational implications of changing the beverage sales approach for a future agenda item.
