Pullman School District board adopts 2026–27 budget after public hearing with no speakers

The Pullman School District board voted to adopt its 2026–27 fiscal-year budget at its June meeting after holding a public hearing that drew no speakers.

Board President opened the hearing and invited public comment three times; when there were no registrants the president closed the hearing and the board proceeded to consider the budget. The board then adopted Resolution 26 27 01, which the president said "adopts the 2026–27 fiscal year budget, including all district funds, the four-year budget summary, and the four-year enrollment projection as presented." The motion passed on a voice vote.

The board also approved Resolution 25 26 07 to identify individuals authorized to sign financial documents for the district. Moving the item from discussion to action, a board member moved "that the board approve and identify by resolution 25 26 07 those individuals authorized to sign financial documents, specifically Robert Maxwell, Danielle Lyons, Lisa Spence, Bernice Buencomo, and Zain El Shabib." The resolution passed by voice vote.

No substantive changes were made during the meeting to the documents presented; the president noted that no action would be taken during the public hearing itself. The board approved the consent agenda earlier in the meeting by voice vote.

What happens next: The adopted budget and the updated signer authority take effect under district procedures; board members did not request further revisions at the meeting. Unless otherwise recorded in later minutes, the fiscal-year spending plan stands as approved for 2026–27.
